Few locations are quite as magical as the Orkney Isles. Located at the point where the Atlantic meets the North Sea, it is an archipelago of 70 islands with a history dating back to 8000BC.

Scapa Distillery, located in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands, is one of Scotland's most distinctive whisky producers. Founded in 1885 by Macfarlane & Townsend, it has a rich history intertwined with innovation and resilience. Initially built to cater to the growing demand for blended whisky, it later transitioned into producing single malts. Scapa is notable for its proximity to the North Sea, a feature that gives its whiskies a unique maritime character.
